Gertrude “Trudy” Harned, 86, of Fort Myers, FL died on June 16, 2012 ay Hope Hospice, Fort Myers. She was born on April 24, 1926 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Walter and Ann Hayden.

A resident of Fort Myers for the past 6 years, she previously lived in Las Vegas for 18 years moving there from Chicago. In Las Vegas she was active with Seniors on the Go. Trudy was a retired computer programmer for Sears in Chicago for many years and was a member of Parents without Partners.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kenneth W. Harned, her daughter, Carol (Stan) Leonhardt of Fort Myers, FL her stepchildren, Robin (Robert) Davison-Butkis of Byrdston, TN and Mark Harned of Ooltewah, TN and 3 grandchildren. She is predeceased by her first husband, Albert Mayer and her twin sister, Dorothy Trapp.

Funeral service will be held privately by the family.
