WALTER LAUKSHTEIN, 86, of Fort Myers, FL died on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. He was born in Paterson, NJ on March 21, 1926 to Caroline Wanadsin & Waldemar Laukshtein (Lauksteins). He was married on December 26, 1949 in Cranford, NJ to Miriam Joan (June) Lewis. They were married for 62 years! He was survived by: Sister - Edith Roth; Children - Son Walter Jr. & Sylvia Laukshtein (ME), Daughter Joanne Miriam & Gary Pulz (NJ), Son Robert Bruce & Gloria Laukshtein (FL), and Son Randy Scott & Deidre (Heindl) Laukshtein (FL); Grandchildren – Ryan Laukshtein, Kristian Pulz, Rein Pulz, Karalina Pulz, Daggi Pulz, Tabatha Stoots, Rory Dobis, and Shawn Dobis; Great-grandchildren – Kaya Pulz, Nikki Laukshtein, Matt Stoots Jr., Gianna Stoots, and Chayse Stoots. He previously lived in New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, North Carolina, and summered in Nova Scotia, Canada. Walt owned Jersey Egg Marketing Company, and a Carvel Ice Cream Shop in New Jersey prior to working in Retail Management. He was an adventurer, avid fisherman (Love’s Lures!), gambler, and jokester who loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh even more. He was also an Army Veteran who served in Korea during WWII. A Memorial celebration will be held in a few weeks in both New Jersey and Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation to help find a cure.
